SoftIntegration Announces Availability of Ch-GTK+ 1.0 and Ch-X/Motif 1.0 Toolkits
DAVIS, Calif., November 1, 2001 -
SoftIntegration, Inc., the leader of
scripting technology for ubiquitous computing, today announced the
Ch GTK+ 1.0
Ch X/Motif 1.0
These toolkits add new
graphical user interface (GUI) capabilities to Ch® --- a cross-platform
C virtual machine with classes.
The Ch GTK+ toolkit is Ch binding to GTK+. GTK+ is application programming
interface (API) in C with widgets for creating graphical user interface
in multi-platforms. The Ch X/Motif toolkit conforms to the X/Motif®
of the X Window System. This is a milestone in migrating Ch into an
enterprise platform with these powerful graphical user interface APIs
with which software developers are already familiar. With Ch-GTK+ and
Ch-X/Motif toolkits, developers can now write Ch applications
with user-friendly graphical interface
using the industry standard API
in one platform and distribute them to
run in multiple platforms, without tedious compile/link/execute/debug cycles.
Below is a screenshot for a sample Ch GTK+ program running
across different platforms.
Ch GTK+ toolkit version 1.0 beta runs
whereas Ch X/Motif toolkit version 1.0 beta runs in Linux and Unix.
Both are available free for Ch users.
